Honored to host Joel Cabrita, Professor of History at Stanford University, for a research visit at Nazarene Archives. Dr. Cabrita is a historian of modern Southern Africa who focuses on Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) and Southern Africa. It was a privilege to have her utilize our resources!
The archival materials from Eastern Nazarene arrived to our facility this morning. We are deeply honored to have these historic materials entrusted to our care. Thank you, ENC!
This was a lot of fun. Nate is a terrific host. Thanks as always, Holiness Today.
Miss Lillian Cole Short enrolled as a student at Eastern Nazarene in the fall of 1910. After graduating, she was the first missionary to be sent directly to Africa by the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Eswatini from 1916 to 1926. #NazareneArchives #NazareneHistory
Bertha Munroe (1887–1983) was appointed a founding member of the faculty of Eastern Nazarene and its first academic dean. She retired in 1968, having served the ENC campus community for over half a century. #NazareneArchives #NazareneHistory

Some of the most inspiring stories in Nazarene history are the ones about how the church established ministry in a new world area. I enjoyed digging deeper into Pastor Alfredo del Rosso's story in my latest for Holiness Today. #NazareneArchives #NazareneHistory
