Today (22 May) is the International Day for Biodiversity. Today we are shining a light on the Garden Tiger Moth and its ‘Woolly Bear’ caterpillars – once common in gardens, sadly this species has seen substantial declines in recent decades.

5-11 May is Hedgehog Awareness Week. You can make your garden more hedgehog friendly by avoiding pesticides, providing nesting sites, and creating gaps in fences to allow them to move between gardens.
