#DavidsMonthOfMusic Day 2 | Music From This Year
Colouring - Lune
There's been some amazing music released already this year. Ride and Junodream are right up there.
Colouring's Love To You, Mate is packed full of raw emotion. Lune is my favourite from it by quite some distance
#Top10AlbumOneTrackOne starts tomorrow.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone's choices. It's been a busy week and it's not showing signs of getting easier so I'm not sure how much tracking I'll be able to do.
But I will try and make a final playlist at the end for everyone
#DavidsMonthOfMusic Day 1 | One Word Title
Talk Talk - Eden
'Everybody needs someone to live by'
In one of the toughest weeks of my life, this song will just about see me through.
OK, here it is, an imperfect list of the songs that make us cry. It's my personal selection of all your suggestions and it's still 11.5 hours long so don't ask me to add any more but feel free to plunder this list and make your own. Ideally not on Spotify open.spotify.com/playlist/4wV2U…
On this date in 1984
#TheBlueNile released
their debut studio album.
What are your favourite
tracks from 'A Walk
Across the Rooftops'....?
Ahhh my latest magnum opus has dropped! I had the honour of talking to Emma Anderson, Deb Googe of my bloody valentine and Rachel Goswell 💙🇺🇦 of Slowdive for Stereogum. True legendary women of shoegaze still making music. Photo of R by Geoff Shaw

8 | Blur - Modern Life Is Rubbish
This took what the debut did and made it even better, for the most part.
Underrated by non-Blur fans, but adored by the die hards. I'm somewhere in between those levels, but think this is superb from start to finish.

The Chameleons - Tony Fletcher Walked On Water EP
Just when I thought I couldn't fall more in love with this band...
#1993Top20
1 | Catherine Wheel - Fripp
Not just my favourite song from this year, but one of my favourites of all time.
No lyrics have ever meant as much to me. On the right (or wrong) day, Fripp has me in tears.
'Too much is not enough'
Thanks for this challenge, Barry.

2 | Tears For Fears - Mr. Pessimist
One of my favourite TFF songs of a time, this just builds and builds and builds and the ending lands every time.
#LightTop20 Unranked
Day 2 | Midge Ure - I See Hope In The Morning Light
A rousing single from Ure, who proved time and time again to be a fantastic solo artist as well as an amazing frontman.

10 | Portishead - S/T
Not quite as stunning as Dummy, but a very worthy album that cemented the group as one of the most daring and talented of the 90s.

3 | Depeche Mode - In Your Room
Both the album version and the Zephyr Mix released as a single could have made this countdown.
The 6 minute album version gets the nod, not just as the best song from this album, but my favourite Mode song of all time.

DIIV - Oshin
The latest album was fantastic, so going all the way back to the start now.
This is just not what I expected this band to be; an instant favourite.
Thank you to everyone who keeps recommending such amazing music.
#Top10AlbumOneTrackOne starts, rather appropriately, one week today!
We are looking for the best first tracks from debut albums - the artists who started with a bang.
Who's got their lists ready to go? I know I haven't...😂
