Thank you Naomi Martin - far and away the hardest hitting article on reading The Boston Globe has published so far. It comes hard at Chicopee, but you could have found a Sterling in any district in Massachusetts.

It also comes at me indirectly. I’m a policymaker who doesn’t focus on adolescent illiteracy very much. I intentionally stay focused on early literacy. I’m not sure I’m wrong doing that, but this article leaves me with a lot to process this morning.
