It’s a big day in London! Yes - it’s Friday at The Royal Society #SummerScience! Come on down to stand 11 to learn from our researchers about how they are building materials of the future at the atomic scale!
We had a fantastic time The Royal Society #SummerScience Exhibition getting to meet cool researchers and finding out about the science they do! Thank you Future BATT @nameprogramme @londonlight_ The Quantum Workshop 😍 Also, the Florence Nightingale workshop was super interesting!
And we are done! What an amazing time! Here's our The Royal Society #summerscience in numbers 18000 LEDS 💡 29 volunteers 🧍 Over 10,000 visitors 👨👨👦👦 4 AFM tips 🔬 315 AFM scans 📊 300 packs of our card game 🃏 1 potato masher 🥔 And smiles all round 😁
As we come down off our Royal Society #summerscience high and try to get our voices back, it's nice to see our researchers, like Ryan Bower, being highlighted in the covergae. thenakedscientists.com/articles/inter…
The VR headsets were really a hit with both young and old alike...... Including UK Research and Innovation! Our favourite quotes included "One just went through my head" "I'm being implanted" "Weeeeeeeeeeee" If you missed out you can always watch our video here 📷youtu.be/jhw8vwhhoIs?si…
Our researchers recently showcased their work at the The Royal Society #SummerScience Exhibition! One of just 14 exhibits, they explained how advanced #materials with #nanoscale precision could transform society. Thanks to our NAME Programme Grant volunteers! 👏 ow.ly/qXCm50SKYA9
Welcome to ICANS30 from NAME Programme Grant. We are excited to have been involved in the organising and delivering of this conference - stay tuned for highlights from some great speakers and posters through the week!
Of course the most important part of any conference is the networking and collaborations that can come from brining us all together. Great to see so many networking at the ICANS30 event dinner held at the stunning Living Worlds Gallery Manchester Museum
Another great outreach weekend supporting UoM Photon Science at the The Royal Society summer tour at Jodrell Bank - talking about all things light and waves from single photon emitters to how lithography works, we had a great time discussing our passion for science!
