Welcome to the page of Northern Quarters! 🎶 Established in 2020, Northern Quarters are a brass quartet based in Manchester, comprising of students from the Royal Northern College of Music who play for the UK’s leading brass bands.

After a successful couple of days busking at Tesco in Horwich, we have just donated £157.32 to @HelpMusiciansUK. Thank you Tesco for supporting the arts with your 'Spreading Festive Cheer' project and also allowing us to collect money for our chosen charity. #LetMusicLive

We’re really looking forward to teaming up with Lions Youth Brass next Tuesday in an online workshop! We’ll be discussing an array of topics with the students, as well as helping with preparations for their entry to The Cory Band’s online contest! 🎺🎶

Today we are celebrating Amy Ewen’s Birthday! 🎉 Amy is an incredible musician and a real driving force behind many of the quartet’s ideas! We’re so grateful to have her here at Northern Quarters! Happy Birthday, Amy! 🥰

This week we celebrated two of the quartet’s founding members, @amy_ewen and Tom Smith, on becoming Besson Brass artists! Congrats both! 👏🏻

Today we enjoyed our first chamber music coaching session at the @RNCMvoice since lockdown 3.0 with Ewan Easton, principal tuba at The Hallé. Ewan also played for Brighouse & Rastrick during his studies so it was great to reminisce with him about his time spent at the band.
