According to the USGS, aftershocks could still be felt in the next week. A 50% probability of magnitude 3+, a 15% chance of quakes of magnitude 4+, & 3% a chance exists for an earthquake of similar or larger magnitude.

New York City just felt the impacts of a 4.8 magnitude earthquake with an epicenter of Lebanon, New Jersey.

Mayor Eric Adams is being briefed. While we do not have any reports of major impacts at this time, we’re still assessing the impact.
