August was a touch on the warm and dry side for much of western Nebraska. Despite the above normal temps overall, North Platte failed to reach 100° in August for the first time since 2020. Meanwhile, Valentine hit the century mark 4 times, the same as last year #NEwx

Another cool and dry night is in store across western and north central Nebraska. Winds will remain quite gusty overnight, with a general steady south wind around 10 to 20 miles per hour gusting up to 35 miles per hour.
