⚠ Flood Watches/Advisories are in effect along Kuskokwim River & Copper River Basin. Here's a summary of flood info & a weather outlook for planning.

Flooding will inundate areas along the Glenn Highway, and may impact Snowshoe Drive as water flows under the Glenn Highway into Monday afternoon. A flood advisory is in effect through noon Monday. A flood watch remains in effect for the Copper River Basin through Mon. evening.

Flooding caused by ice jams is possible for the Kuskokwim River from Birch Crossing to Aniak. Therefore a flood watch has been issued for this area through mid-day Saturday.

Storm 1️⃣ is bringing rain to much of Southern AK, with showers across the interior & Aleutians
Storm 2️⃣ moves across the Bering/Aleutians thru Fri, reaching Mainland AK by the weekend. #AKwx

An ice jam has recently developed on the Nushagak River above Dillingham, as captured by satellite imagery. The jam has caused water levels to rise upstream, yet floodwaters remain contained within the floodplain, posing no immediate threat to upstream communities.
