All boaters must be familiar with the water ways they are in. East of Fifty PT Marina is the Winona Range. On the water is a series of yellow markers that form a box shape from land. Stay out of this area for you safety.

Be like this group of boaters when you head out on the water. Make sure to have enough personal floatation devices onboard for everyone. They also have to be of appropriate size and Transport Canada approved. #safeboating

As vessel operators you must know where you can go legally and safely. This view is from Heywood Generation Station looking down the Port Dalhousie channel. It is illegal under the VORR and unsafe to cross the point marked. Be safe and stay away from the area. #safeboating

As we near the end of #safeboating week and the weather warms up we want to remind everyone to be prepared. Check equipment, boat, and weather before going out. Canadian Coast Guard and our other community partners are on the water. Enjoy the boating season.
