Our annual Staff Awards were celebrated at Norwich City Football Club on Thursday 21 November. More than 300 staff and volunteers attended to recognise the individuals and teams who have consistently gone the extra mile to support patients, families and colleagues.

Our Breast Screening Promotion Team won an award for Quality Improvement in Equality, Diversity and Belonging at the Norfolk & Waveney Allied Health Professions conference. They were praised for their dedication to reaching more patients to promote the service.

We're getting closer to our Community Diagnostic Centre opening and have started to install some of the major pieces of equipment. This week we've had two MRI scanners, two CT scanners and an X-ray system delivered, which are now being installed by their suppliers.

A new research study has begun at our hospital to investigate the links between circadian rhythm disruption and health risks for night shift workers. This study is led by the Cancer Mechanism & Biomarkers Group, from the Radiation Effects Department, UK Health Security Agency.

Women across Norfolk will benefit from a new mobile breast screening unit which has been officially opened by The Sheriff of Norwich. Women aged 50-71 are invited for a routine breast screening appointment every three years. Our four units screen 30,000 patients a year.
