Thanks to NIRA for enforcing the employment quota policy by hiring persons with disabilities to be part of the mass national identification card registration process. According to the ED Ms Kisembo Rosemary out of the 155 who applied only 42 qualified & were taken on board.

Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development Ms Kisembo noted that this time NIRA is going to be more considerate & accommodative to the point that for persons with disabilities whose thumbprints cannot be captured to get identity cards, there is an option to take their photos & also capture the Iris of their eyes.
