In October flooding in #Somalia affected nearly 280,000 individuals via OCHA Somalia If the rains persist as predicted those who have been displaced will be most severely affected. #preparedness will ensure provision of life-saving assistance in the face of this ongoing crisis.
Mobile clinics by IOM Somalia offer primary health services including maternal health, child nutrition and immunization to mobile & hard-to-reach populations in 🇸🇴. Bridging healthcare access barriers that these individuals face. Thanks to The Embassy of Japan in Somalia for support.
In Bardhere IOM Somalia delivered sandbags, steel wire, sand and tools to flood-prone displacement sites to enhance #preparedness during floods and minimize the impact of heavy rains on families. Using boats, teams crossed to Gedo ensuring timely delivery of assistance.
