Carnival definitely does have queer elements. There’s an old mas tradition in Dominica called pappy show wedding where men & women would often cross dress.

Ignorant takes about Tourette’s. Ignorant takes about feeling upset about racial slurs, even when not intended. But, so little focus on BBC who are completely at fault for this. They cared enough to edit out Free Palestine. They did not care enough about black people.

So let me get this straight: There is a 2hr delay between the BAFTA event & the BBC airing it. In that time they managed to edit out a woman saying “Free Palestine” but didn’t edit out the man with Tourette’s shouting the N word at 2 black people? Is that where we are?

Free Palestine Cut, The N-Word Aired: Racist Priorities Exposed Convenient how the BAFTA & the BBC can surgically cut Akinola Davies Jr’s “Free Palestine” yet broadcast the N-word. There’s a hierarchy of racism there. And the apology, “Sorry if anyone was offended” IF? The

This is a disgrace. I’ve worked in newsrooms. Make no mistake, the BBC made a deliberate choice in allowing this racial slur to be aired. And then broadcast the clip. They did however, manage to cut out Akinola Davies Jr saying “Free Palestine”

The BBC should have edited the word out of the broadcast, there was enough of a delay. They need to apologise to Michael B Jordan, Delroy Lindo, the black community, John Davidson and people living with Tourette’s syndrome.

I was right when I said BAFTA and BBC set up John, Delroy and Michael to be embarrassed and hurt, because putting a mic directly in front of John 40 ROWS BACK from the stage was a deliberate choice to record his Corprolalia vocal tics. They broke and violated his trust.
