Went with Ms.S's. Science Class today to Randys Nursery Gwinnett to get supplies for our STEAM Gardens! Lots of variety and a great resource for schools, make sure to visit them! Baggett Titans #steamgarden #elementarygardens #supportlocal
5th grade teachers, Ms. Couey and Ms. Menendez, worked to enhance learning for all Gwinnett Co. Schools students as they shared their Food Waste Warroirs PBL, with Gwinnett teachers, at the Green and Healthy Schools kick off meeting tonight. Baggett Titans
Kindergarten is exploring the basic needs of plants. We are starting kale seeds today. These will be harvested in 60 days. Baggett Titans
2nd grade is exploring properties of materials ( size, shape, color, texture, etc...) as we collect marigold blooms. We will dry these and save them to plant in our pollinator garden. Baggett Titans
2nd graders discussing properties of matter ( size, shape color, texture) as we harvest tomatoes from our garden. Why is there liquid leaking from that tomato? Why are those green but those are red? We are making room for kale. Baggett Titans #gardentoschoolcafeteria

3rd graders tested garden soil, sandy soil and Georgia red clay soil to see if soil composition is a factor in soil erosion. The sandy soil eroded the most. The garden soil eroded the least. #STEAM #PBL Baggett Titans
