A day full of baseball! Started the day watching my 2 nephews. I had a lunch break then watched another nephew. Ended the day with my partner teacher watching a few of our students play against each other! Fields from 9:00-5:00, but it was so worth it!

Teaching in Tandem is one of my favorite coaching moves. Sharon Taft and I taught a comprehension strategy group on non-fiction organization. Students had immediate clarity and did amazing! Love working with educators that will take risks to help grow our students!

Before we start our final copy for our how-to writing we are giving each other peer feedback. Our goal for feedback is to align to the success criteria. It was great to hear students give feedback to their peers.

2nd graders are starting to publish their informational writing! I walked around shocked at how amazing my cougar cubs were doing! Our draft organizer helped tremendously.

When a few students in my cougar academy group didn’t understand fingerprints. We quickly made fingerprints. It helped their understanding and they had a huge smile.

I loved being his ELA teacher last year, but it makes it even more awesome that we both love wrestling! He even got me a shirt when he went to a wrestling match! Such a cool cougar cub!

Character Parade was a blast with this 2nd grade crew!

Today was crazy hair day for #RedRibbonWeek2023 Pecan Grove Elementary

I wish you could have been at Pecan Grove Elementary yesterday watching Mrs. Parker, Ms. Clarke, and Maggie Mills BRING IT. Purposeful and intentional teaching with small group, conferring, and explicit phonics instruction. I could have stayed all day! ✏️
