Folks… I’m getting a form group!! Taking over someone’s second years (Y13) until they go on study leave in mid-May. Any tips/advice? Never had a form before… wondering how to form a good relationship with them given I’ll only have them for 5 weeks!

Within the space of 10 days, I’ve had a cold, a weird intense mini-flu, and now conjunctivitis. Teaching with one eye swollen shut is going to be interesting tomorrow.

If I lived in Scotland, I would be earning £11,000 more than I am now, for doing exactly the same job. Just take a moment to let that sink in. The current government do not care about teachers in England. They don’t care about state school. They just don’t care.

10 y/o me would race home from school to watch his teatime show with my grandparents & listen to his radio show on the way home from my dad’s on a Sunday night. As an adult, I’ve learnt to appreciate just how much he did for the queer community. RIP, Paul, you’ll be so missed 💔

Sooooo… how many other #ActuallyAutistic folk absolutely HATED that alert? I don’t like loud noises, even more so when I’m not in control of them. AND it came one minute early. Bleh. Back to my little football bubble (new + current special interest) ⚽️

Something that is very autistic of me but surprises people is that I cannot stand water. I will only drink it plain if ice cold, and when there is zero other alternative, otherwise it’s squash! I even carry a mini bottle on me for emergencies.

Turns out I won tickets to the #CoronationConcert but just catching up on all the ticket drama… absolutely ridiculous, especially after the amount of hoops you had to jump through just to enter the flipping ballot! Ticketmaster needs shutting down.

Waterloo Road, one of my favourite programmes, is seriously upsetting me tonight. SO much misinformation about ADHD being shared. 1. CBT is not useful for ADHD. 2. ADHD is not treated with diazepam. Do better , BBC One , from a disgruntled #ActuallyAuDHD teacher.
