I've been sharing this amazing picture on Zoom class visits — kids remote learning during a polio outbreak in the 1940s. Schools shut and teachers read lessons on the RADIO. We're facing such challenges today, but as I tell kids, we've faced them in the past and gotten through.

Due to the possibility of severe weather tomorrow, Thursday, March 18, Cobb staff is in active conversations with the National Weather Service and Georgia Emergency Management Agency.

To protect students and staff who could be traveling to school during dangerous weather conditions, we are continuing to monitor conditions and will provide an update to all students, parents, and staff by this evening.

In order to keep our students and staff safe due to the possibility of severe weather, all Cobb students will learn remotely on Thursday, March 18, 2021.

With new guidance received from CDC, effective immediately we will not require fully vaccinated people to wear a mask. As our cases are continuing to trend down and vaccinations trend up, we expect to start 2021-2022 as mask optional for students. cobbk12.org/_ci/p/4523
