P1A have been creating a ‘toolkit’ to help us get back in to the green zone and be ready to learn. We’ve been learning we may go in to the other zones throughout the day, and that’s ok, we just need to make sure we can help ourselves get back in to the green zone. Cockenzie P. School

P1A have been very busy exploring Cockenzie P. School final values, successful & respectful. We discussed what it means to be successful and how this isn’t just about receiving a certificate or medal. We also decided on some important ways we can show respect in our class.

Primary 1 Cockenzie P. School have been putting their sound knowledge to great use. We have been finding sounds we know in books, listening closely to them in order to read words and even using them to have a dinosaur race! #successful Mrs Medlam

We have been further exploring our emotions in P1A Cockenzie P. School. Our Autumn context inspired us to create faces using natural materials and the boys and girls were super creative! Mrs Medlam

P1A Cockenzie P. School were so excited to discover themselves in The Courier this week for their advert for P1 photos but we realised Mrs Medlam was missing. So the girls and boys decided to add her in. We can’t wait to see our full class photo next week.

P1 spotted how our #positive class motto of ‘Never give up!’ was very similar to a new word we just learnt, resilience. #BeingResilient After reading ‘Oh the Places you’ll go’ we wondered about the things we might achieve if we stay positive and show resilience.
