TX Leg. is in session. If they wanted Dade Phelan & Dan Patrick could suspend procedural rules to pass & then Greg Abbott could sign age limit, universal background check, & red flag measures. Could be done in a matter of days. They won't. Action requires their replacement.

Never forget

Uvalde families asked the TX Legislature to raise the age to purchase semiautomatic rifles from 18 to 21. The bill wasn't given a hearing until April 19 and they were kept waiting for 12+ hours to testify. The bill is pending in committee; Mon. is the last day it can be advanced.

They literally protested so much that Republicans had a meltdown and expelled 2 Democratic lawmakers and then the lawmakers regained their seats... and kept protesting.

Mans more upset about an out of state unemployed pundit than the slaughter of kids in the classroom. Pathetic.

Well this was a slam-dunk answer from Mayor Bowser in the name of #DCStatehood. In fact it’s so good, the room broke out into applause…much to the Republican’s obvious chagrin.
