Love these ideas on how to use different language to shift the way students think about classroom discussions. Been trying to cut out "who can tell me...?" from my whole class discussions but it has not been easy!

If we made a visual graph of time and resources educators and schools allocate to the different dimensions of assessment - would it match in value and importance with the #ibpyp ? #evidencinglearning #pypchat #aismlearns

#ELLSAPD Hello from Guangzhou! Some keys for me have been remembering to listen first and to not rush to judgement, especially in the beginning of a co-teaching relationship. It's gonna be bumpy so remember these things take time.

Awesome resource for exploring cultural heritage around the world. Definitely some opportunities for #pyp provocation or tuning in to Who We Are and How We Express Ourselves. larryferlazzo.edublogs.org/2019/12/07/une…

"Where will this writing be in 2 weeks?" Such a simple way to focus students on the purpose of their writing. #craftandprocess

Matt Glover pro tip: Students don't need explicit instruction in every genre to make there own approximations. Review how to choose genre and topic at the beginning of the year and see where they go before you start diving in to specific genre studies.

Welp! Today's Concept-Based Curriculum session involved looking at common errors when writing generalizations. Haven't had the courage to look up old Central Ideas but have to believe at least 90% have one or more of these errors! Thanks Nancy Fairburn for your guidance today!

CBCI Institute 4-Part Live Series with Rachel French: …professionallearninginternational.com/concept-based-… One of the best introductions I can think of to Concept-Based Inquiry. A must for PYP educators in my opinion!
