Steve Leinwand Agree unfinished learning is a much better term. Learning Loss is yet again viewing student through a deficit lens, and we hardly need more of that. Unfortunately the funding attached to this literally has the words “learning loss” in the bill which is... unfortunate :((

Is there any chance the pandemic can be used to: 1) Stop the race to Calculus 2) Stop forcing Algebra/Geometry into MS It feel like we could use the pandemic as an 'excuse' to slow down and help students development a conceptual understanding a little more slowly. #iteachmath

Dear districts that hold teachers to strict pacing guides, Forcing everyone to teach the same thing doesn't guarantee every student learns the same thing. So please, good heavens please, do not justify your rigid pacing guides with the word "equity."
