Today our 6th class boys played their last game as the played in the annual Martin O'Grady Shield Final. Martin and Tony of Mount Sion GAA Jimmy from Butlerstown GAA went to a game & never came home. Always our privilege to remember Martin, Tony and Jimmy. #gaa #educationforlife

It was with great shock & sadness that we learned today of the sudden passing of Liam Cahill Liam epitomised so much of what it meant to be "of Sion" & we'll miss him & his support so much. A brilliant man in so many ways. Condolences to Liam's family. Suaimhneas síoraí dó.

The Cúl Blues coaches from Mount Sion GAA were in the school again this week bringing their fun hurling formula to the boys! The boys had a great time as always & it was super to see senior hurlers PJ Fanning & Owen Whelan coming along to help out too!! 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️ #wellkids

A month ago, four of these lads had never played a game on a #GAA pitch! A YouTube clip of David Clifford, followed by a quick yard tutorial of how to rise & handpass & now Yago 🇧🇷 Yakin 🇦🇫 Josep 🇭🇷 & Zahid 🇵🇰 have helped propel us to the final v Rathgormack! What a journey!

The ARC has landed Mount Sion GAA The Aquaculture Remote Classroom is a mobile classroom which has been designed to raise young people’s awareness of aquaculture. Our 5th and 6th classes will spend a day each learning in the ARC. #Excited Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM)

Our "Walk and Talk" group for parents had a beautiful morning in walking through Newtown Woods, onto the Guillamene, and finishing on the Doneraile in Tramore on Friday. Our parents from Ukraine 🇺🇦, Brazil 🇧🇷 & Waterford experienced the beauty on our doorstep! #educationforlife

This Saturday, our Under 7s (Born in 2016) return to training at 11am. The boys graduated from the Cùl Blues Academy in December. The group are looking forward to learning the skills of hurling/gaelic. With so many blitzes lined up, the boys can't wait to get going!!
