It’s beginning to look a lot like exam season! Thanks to this morning’s pianists for a super Friday Showcase.

Huge thanks to Radley College Music for a superb day of music making: the Prep Schools Orchestra Day is a great chance for the children to collaborate and make friends with musicians from other schools, and these Moulsford musicians really enjoyed the experience.

It's lovely to see music incorporated into lessons in all parts of the school: perhaps in the next few years we'll be able to replace Mrs Braden with AI!

Congratulations to today’s Friday showcase performers - it’s a pleasure to see our musicians grow in confidence with the support of their friends (and brothers!).

Fancy some festive opera? Mrs Jacklin-Edward, one of our singing teachers, is directing these gorgeous family-friendly operas, sung in English and coming to a venue near you this December...

Our annual Carol Service is a highlight for the whole school community and this year our Head Chorister was lucky enough to bump into his predecessor at Pangbourne for some last-minute words of encouragement!

The final Music Theory activity of the term saw the boys working together to solve a music theory escape room - thankfully they escaped successfully in time for the Christmas hols!

It’s lovely to celebrate progress on a range of instruments this week: we enjoyed some really accomplished drumming, guitar and piano performances. Bravo!

Huge thanks to the Music Teachers Association Association for another superb conference, to Queen Anne's School for hosting, and to Errollyn Wallen for a truly inspirational keynote. Championing excellence in musical education is a wonderful way to spend a weekend!

Such a super day yesterday - for our Senior Choir and Orchestra treat we enjoyed a visit from the GAP Festival Opera company and a preview of their production of The Marriage of Figaro. The afternoon was fuelled by handmade pizzas and everyone enjoyed their treat.

And just like that the final Friday Showcase is over! Thank you to all the boys who performed this year, and to today’s pianists Hugo, George and Thomas.

We're so proud of our younger musicians, who gave a lovely Pre Prep Showcase performance yesterday as part of our STEAM week programme. Well done to all the performers, some of whom were giving their very first performance!
