Mother energy was in full force in the opening plenaries of World Health Organization (WHO)'s conference on air pollution yesterday. ✨♥️ Dr. Rosamund Adoo-KD CBE FBSA opened the conference by sharing the story of losing her daughter Ella to air pollution. Her bravery & determination for change inspire us all.

Warrior Mom Bhavreen Kandhari spoke up for the health of children everywhere, and we were thrilled to see her share the stage with SREnvironment , UN Special Rapporteur on the human right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment - and one of our former Parent Climate Fellows!

SREnvironment told the conference: "I'm not speaking just as a UN Special Rapporteur, but also as a mom living in Mexico City."

Bhavreen Kandhari said: "Mothers know when a child is sick, early intervention can prevent long term damage. Same applies to air pollution, if we don't act now, the consequences will be devastating for generations...every breath child takes in polluted air is an injury to the mother."
