I know the #latinx community is betrayed by Eric M Esquivel. I’m a latina, and couldn’t stand seeing that man TRY to represent my culture. There are many of us in the community that are good people and more talented and will rep brown people properly.

A bit more on Hombre Araña, the Mexican Spider-Man strip: I got some nice messages from the artist, Jose Luis Duran, today. Jose is 86 now, from Toluca, Mexico, and been drawing since he was a kid. In the '70s, he got to draw Spider-Man, first in 1000+ newspaper strips... 1/

...and then later on the comic, as of issue 123. He drew around 40 issues of the series. Also has a lot of unpublished work that he wrote and drew but couldn't get anyone interested in publishing them... 2/3

...So I thought I'd share some of them here. We chatted about mutual affection for Esteban Maroto and other artists. His eyesight is bad and he doesn't draw any more but he said he loves the new conversations and appreciation for his work and he'd love to see it collected. 3/3
