We will be making our objection to this in the coming months. If forgiveness is being sought for decades of environmental destruction and eradication of habitats then it's important that all actions that took place on these bogs are also made aware to ABP. Irish Wildlife Trust

Can anyone confirm if this is a great diving beetle and there conservation status associated with wetlands? Interesting to know given the circumstances taking place on bogs here at present.

Minister Darragh O'Brien can you comment please on how it can be deemed appropriate for wind farm development to not only happen on bogs, but on bogs where wildlife resides, including nesting red listed species of conservation? Have you spoken with your party colleague

Even with sun rising over the Derryadd bog this morning, a somber sight is to behold on this Lapwing nesting site, exposing nests to predators due to needless, outdated pumping practices reducing water levels across the bog throughout. Good job there's no biodiversity crisis!

A mere fraction of the bogs here which BNM are seeking "forgiveness" for through substitute consent for decades of desecration. These bogs were to fall into full scale rehabilitation once closed, but BNM still see money to be made off them despite the consequences to the

Never forget, that Ireland's national bird, the Lapwing, a red listed species of conservation, a bird that nests and rears it's young on these bogs is yet again facing obliteration from our bogs as BNM prepares to lodge planning for its Derryadd Wind Farm next week. BNM are only
