Our Grade 6 students completed some beautiful artwork inspired by beading. Beading is a very old technique passed down through generations as an ancestral art of Indigenous people. They used symmetry to complete their unique designs! 🖼

Grade 6 began their sculpting lesson in art class this week! They created human faces using polymer clay. They added details (cheek and brow bones ) using sculpting tools such as popsicle sticks and fettling knives. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for the final products!

Students participated in a virtual guest speaker as part of Hooked On Schools Week. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif talked about all the struggles he had to overcome to be the successful man he is today and spoke of the importance of persevering and never giving up on your dreams.
