I wanted to hear from a former black mayor what he thought about the George Floyd protests and the calls for police reform. I asked former Columbus Mayor Mike Coleman. What shocked was me, was hearing about his own personal experiences with racism. omny.fm/shows/dispatch…

Time to invoke the 25th Amendment...Trump has no mental capacity to continue as president for the next approximately 2 weeks. No telling what this delusional man will do next.

As a result of calls, emails and out reach, I am considering whether I should be a candidate for the United States Senate. Now is a time to elect a person who has a record of bringing people together to solve tough problems.

After serious consideration and discussion with my family, we have decided that I will NOT run for the US SENATE. I appreciate the outpouring of support. I will weigh in on a Senate candidate and advocate for good public policy to benefit all Ohioans.

My bad. Marcia Fudge is the 1st Black woman to lead HUD in more than 40 years not the 1st Black woman to lead HUD. Patricia Roberts Harris was the first under Jimmy Carter. Nevertheless, Marcia Fudge is an incredible leader and pioneer!

Tonight my colleagues on Council asked me to serve another term as Council President. Serving the residents of Columbus is the greatest honor I could ask for, and I’m tremendously excited to lead the legislature to make Columbus safer, healthier, and more prosperous for all.
