Today, we are celebrating Louis Riel’s birthday! Recognized this year by Wab Kinew ’s government to be the first Premier of Manitoba. He was a strong Métis leader, founder of Manitoba, and was essential in the Red River and North-West resistances. He paved the way for Métis.
