The point it often means the Kent’s are only ever brought up in context where Clark is sad about their deaths or flashbacks and well if you do good Laura and jor el anyway you get the same story more or less

That said I never viewed Superman as a hero whose life is always built on tragedy, he’s a character who can you know is about fixing things, and I also think as time went on it became a good contrast and compliment to other characters

That said I wish the anti parent fandom would deal with one aspect that I don’t like…..bashing adopted families and feelings, like there is fiction that can be cruel to adoptive parents as not mattering as much as your birth ones or be made villainous

Star Wars after a certain point it’s easy to forget that Luke had adoptive family who died as the Vader drama took over and became all about redeeming him I’m just saying while they say focusing on Kent’s ruin the immigration metaphor…it ends up in another problematic trope
