Absolutely devastated to hear the news of Black Caviar‘s passing. She was a champion. I loved following her spectacular career and regularly chatted with Peter Moody on the radio. I had the absolute pleasure of visiting her last year in her retirement.

Today we commemorate Vietnam Veterans' Day on the Battle of Long Tan anniversary. We honour the service/ sacrifice of all who served. Almost 60,000 Australians served; tragically, 523 made the ultimate sacrifice, incl. 19 from our region, and 3,000 were wounded. Lest we forget.

Heartbreak in the shire but wow! What an almighty effort from the Knights.

Wonderful to catch up with the Speaker of the House, Hon Milton Dick, and be presented with a replica version of The Mace to take to local schools in the Paterson electorate! Thanks, Mr Speaker.
