I cannot explain how much I am looking forward to reading & rereading these books! The poem of the menstrual body finding beautiful dynamic form in Wendy Allen’s Plastic Tubed Little Bird, & the startling, compelling image of the body as a house stripped by Dr Charley Barnes wow❤️

Very excited to be heading to BLOOM 2023 tomorrow with colleagues from Wellcome Centre to share our research. I’ll be talking about the importance of creative spaces for exploring health, our virtual scrapbook HealthandResilience, & inviting attendees to create their own erasure poetry 🌼

Time to reflect and write up some notes after the first poetry workshop of my fieldwork on lived experience of endometriosis. Exhausted but very happy. So much important discussion and writing. Looking forward to workshop 2. #endometriosis #poetry #poeticinquiry #collaboration ❤️
