This. Is. HUGE

The The Office for Students (OfS) are going to release a care experienced split of NSS data. Essentially, you (or me, I imagine) will be able to league table universities based upon the experiences of their care experienced students.

It's not unusual for students to have a part-time job.

We should also be ramping up the ease/ability for students to switch to part time if that helps them find the money to stay on.

‼️ I'm looking for Black students in the UK who planned to go or thought they would go to University this year, but instead have chosen to do an Apprenticeship. It's for a BBC News story. Please get in touch if this is you or share this tweet with someone who fits this brief🙂

A key take away from the report is that it is disproportionately Black and Asian students who feel there are limitations put on their freedom of speech. Many in the room hope the government will respond to this evidence

Melody Stephen making the excellent point that survey data is the start of a conversation with those with the actual lived experience - students of all ethnicities, genders, sexualities and economic backgrounds etc. have very different lived experiences of uni life

We need to stop divorcing mental health issues from the classroom, says Melody Stephen University of Manchester Students’ Union. Assessment and feedback are key drivers of stress, anxiety, pride, or joy among students.

Interesting to hear Melody say that we can’t just blame the pandemic because many of the issues, eg assessment, have been issues going back well before the pandemic
