Not expecting fiscal sense from the Tories but even *they* must see that their ‘immigrant cash cow’ is a precarious form of cash flow. Immigration can increase but it can also decrease, esp if the cost-benefit ratio to the migrant changes. Where’s the accounting for this flux?

This was eventually going to happen given how badly flawed the 2020 valuation was. But the fact that USS, employers and regulator all had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, to this point is so deeply devastating for staff morale in UKHE.

I've just spent 14 working hours (more than a full working day) simply transferring a perfectly set up and curated VLE page from the old system to the new (not better) system. A completely pointless exercise and what a great use of my limited time!
