Naomi Drenan Recreation Center was transformed to welcome Vice President Kamala Harris Kamala Harris, Michael Regan, U.S. EPA, Governor Roy Cooper Roy Cooper, and Rep. Alma S. Adams, Ph.D. to Mecklenburg County. Our facility hosted over 200 guests alongside these elected officials.

Mountain Island Lake is turning 100! 🥳 Built in 1924 alongside the Mountain Island Hydroelectric Station, the lake is an essential part of our community.

We'll have several festivities and educational events leading up to the grand celebration in September.

✨ New swings and more park improvements are in progress at Fred Alexander Park. We're so happy to see these reinvestment projects coming together!
