Honoured to represent our Borough at the launch of Benenden centenary celebrations today. A joyful and informal afternoon and evening of food music and fireworks in a lovely atmosphere. The sculpture ‘Taking Flight’ unveiled for the occasion was a highlight.

Great pleasure to attend the reopening of Mount Ephraim Care home on Friday last week. Congratulations to all at Green sleeves Care. What a brilliant job restoring a historic TW building and creating a modern, larger resident centred care home that the Borough can be proud of.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of former Councillor and past Mayor of Tunbridge Wells, Godfrey Bland, on Saturday 7 December.

The Mayor is holding a barn dance as a fundraiser for Wellbeing in the Weald, the charity she’s supporting during her term of office. Great fun and at a family friendly time – get your tickets now!

We’re delighted to say that at Full Council yesterday TS Brilliant were awarded the Freedom of the Borough. Perfect timing in their 90th anniversary year! This is the highest honour the borough can award. Huge congratulations. We look forward to them parading later in the year
