The Entomological Society of Canada and the Journal of the Entomol. Soc. BC both have peer reviewed notes. The latter also has peer reviewed natural history notes/observations. And both have affordable (sometimes free!) Gold OA options. TCE: cambridge.org/core/journals/… JESBC: journal.entsocbc.ca/index.php/jour…

Had to miss #abbugchat today to see the presentation of the ⁦WISEST⁩ intern, Ashlyn in my lab this summer. Mentored by ⁦@robotonia⁩ on some super cool #mountainpinebeetle research!

Hi Alberta Farmers! Is anyone planning to put in a peola field this year ...and want us to monitor insects in it? We are looking for commercial #peaola fields to monitor as part of a RDAR (Results Driven Agriculture Research) funded project. Fields in central AB are of most interest. Please DM me.

Hello AB farmers! We are looking for a pea field in Parkland county to monitor for insects to compare with nearby peaola fields. Any AB Pulse Growers growers near Stony Plain with a pea field who wants to participate in this RDAR (Results Driven Agriculture Research) funded project? Please DM me.

Took my reusable cup to Tim Hortons on the University of Alberta campus for tea. Apparently, the "policy" is to measure the drink with a paper cup before putting it into the reuasable cup!! Comeon! I thought we were a "sustainable" campus!! I made a fuss...but the "policy" needs to change.
