Just published in JASA by #PASCAL PhD alum Kevin Leete: "Near-field acoustical holography and acoustic power analysis of a simulated, highly heated supersonic jet." Coauthors from BYU Physics and Astronomy, Air Force Research Lab - AFRL, and U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). asa.scitation.org/doi/10.1121/10…
Fantastic news! BYU undergrad Matthew Yancey just presented on a noise analysis from the first Alpha launch, recorded at Vandenberg Space Force Base. #ASA182 BYU Acoustics Acoustical Society of America
Impressive presentation by Matthew Yancey at #ASA182. He was able to acoustically identify when one of the four engines shut down about 14 seconds into the first Alpha launch. Looking forward to the next Alpha launch this summer!
🎉Congratulations to Prof. Brian Anderson for being elected to Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America! His citation notes his "contributions to applications of acoustic time reversal and acoustics education". Keep up the great work, Brian! Acoustical Society of America
.NASA is targeting the next launch attempt for the #Artemis I mission for Nov. 14. ARCHIVED: NASA's Exploration Ground Systems teams will roll the ARCHIVED: NASA_SLS rocket and Orion Spacecraft spacecraft to the launch pad as early as Nov. 4: go.nasa.gov/3CRGKhZ
Rocket noise session going on all day in Chicago C at the Acoustical Society of America #ASA184. Come join us! A lot of fun talks ahead.
BYU undergrad Matthew Yancey is presenting an overview of acoustical measurements of the NROL-91 Delta IV Heavy launch at the Acoustical Society of America #ASA184. BYU PASCAL
