Great new paper (doi.org/10.1016/j.epsl…) about a huge fluvial fan on Mars. Lead author Peter Fawdon from our group at The Open University: School of Physical Sciences. Key conclusions: 1) Hypanis is a huge delta - probably the biggest on Mars. 2) This strongly supports the case for an ancient sea or ocean on Mars!
