Interesting preprint by Reshetnyak, jj et al: #Xanthomonas infection in rice generates an atypical class of 20-22nt small RNAs that are often derived from protein kinase transcripts. Most of these xisRNAs do not seem to trigger cis-gene silencing. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
