Digital testing is increasingly used in Alzheimer's Disease. There are plenty of platforms out there, but very few can be administered fully online, are patient friendly and validated against AD biomarkers. Check out Sijia's Zhao amazing platform - OCTAL! ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…

It's one thing to have plasma biomarkers for but which one is most closely related to cognitive function. Our University of Oxford experience led by Sofia Toniolo & Sijia Zhao using digital cognitive testing platform reveals pTau to be the winner

Complete nonsense this creation of mafia like structures at universities with suppliers and travel agents. We need to whistle blow this to tax payer and gov!

Masud Husain University of Oxford I had my own fun with this a few months ago. What would have been a 15 minute job on booking.com turned into several back and forth emails with university and travel agency, followed by a teams call, spread over 2 weeks. Good to know this applies at all levels!

Crazy! Someone’s making a lot of money out of this but I guess University of Oxford is comfortable with that. Why should we pay a third party to do something we can do cheaper and faster?

Booked a conference hotel. Travel agency University of Oxford quoted 11% more than if I booked it myself. Decided to do that anyway but need to show University that travel agency quote was higher. Madness! Let's increase admin burden and ensure that we and our funders get screwed over.

If you haven't listened to Brain podcasts, this is a really interesting one on based on a a great study design in people having surgery for hip fractures (over half developed delirium) in whom CSF could be collected per-operatively
