Banking Hub Open! After starting the campaign to restore banking services in Cheadle constituency, raising the issue in PMQs, and working with LINK Scheme and CashAccessUK, I was delighted to visit the newly opened Hub at the heart of Bramhall!

It was a pleasure to visit St James' where I met with staff and spoke to the students. I enjoyed viewing their fantastic artwork and hearing about the school's fundraising work which gives back to the local community!

This morning I spoke to Sky News about the need for culture change in organisations who put reputation management ahead of dealing with issues raised by whistleblowers. My Bill would create an Office of the Whistleblower and provide greater protections for those who speak out.

We've got a tenacious, experienced mayoral candidate in Laura Evans 💙 who will take the fight to Andy Burnham, who knows Greater Manchester, fought against the Mayor's 500sq mile charging zone and is a vocal advocate for local businesses. Look forward to working with her again!

Sub-postmasters wrongly convicted in the Horizon scandal were failed by existing legislation meant to protect those brave enough to blow the whistle. Whistleblowing law needs change to ensure that such a scandal never happens again.

It was great to join Cheadle Catholic Infant School and Cheadle Catholic Junior School on Friday as they opened their brand new eco-garden after winning £25K through Manchester Airport Community Trust Fund. I enjoyed being shown around the 'Forest School' and outdoor classroom and didn't mind getting a bit muddy!

Pear Tree Academy, a brand new £17m school with 133 SEND places, is due to open in Cheadle Hulme in September! I raised support for all schools wanting to expand this much needed provision and speedier Educational Health Care Plan assessments in the Commons today.

I was pleased to meet Dr Ravi and Dr Peter Duffy MBE at our Whistleblowing APPG meeting where we discussed their personal experiences of whistleblowing in the NHS. Their stories reinforce the importance of passing legislation to protect those who seek to expose wrongdoing.

Today's budget shows that we are sticking to the plan which is working. I am particularly pleased to see National Insurance cut by a further 2p to 8% and child benefit thresholds increased to £60K, both of which thousands of families across Cheadle constituency will benefit from!

As the brand new £30m A&E campus at Stepping Hill nears completion, other buildings on the site are failing and need replacing. Today I asked the Minister for more investment in health services and to ensure Stepping Hill remains the heart of hospital facilities in Stockport.
