Sad to hear of the 2 Edmonton Police officers killed while attending to a call early Thurs morning. Heartfelt condolences to the families of these officers. My earlier photo may take away from the intent of this post so I have changed the photo not the intent of my message.

As Edmonton laid 2 officers to rest, we are now learning of the death of yet another officer in Louiseville, Que near Trois-Rivières. Sadly this is happening far too often. My personal condolences and respect to this officer’s family and the community as they grieve this loss.

To my many friends of Jewish Faith Chag Sameach during Passover. Passover, or Pesach, is a major Jewish holiday during the month of Nisan on the Hebrew calendar, falling in March or April. The holiday is observed with seders among families, friends and communities.

Congratulations to Hazel Borys on her appointment as the new Director of Planning, Property & Development for the City of Winnipeg. Hazel has an incredible reputation as an innovator, placemaker and community builder and I look forward to working with her in this new role.

Sad to hear of yet another fallen officer in the line of duty. The officer who was killed has been identified as Sgt. Eric Mueller, from the Ontario Provincial Police. Condolences to his family and the community of police.
