Bring the family to Markham Park on Fri, Sept 25th for a socially-distanced Drive-In movie hosted by the City of Sunrise. They will be playing 'Hook' staring Robin Williams. Gates open at 6pm and the movie will start at 7:15pm.

This Gopher Tortoise was found at Markham Park. It is considered a keystone species, because the burrows they dig provide shelter for over 360 other animal species. Unfortunately it is also a threatened species in Florida due to habitat loss. #gophertortoise #endangered #wildlife

Now you can support Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS) w/ a license plate. Pre-sale for the plate starts Friday (10/16) at the Tax Collector’s office or Highway Safety/Motor Vehicles. After 3000 vouchers, the state will make the license plates and send FNPS $20 per plate. That's $60,000!
