Had a lovely day RSPB Lochwinnoch with Rachel Rose Reid. Managed to see spotted flycatchers, a wood sandpiper, and a late staying pink-footed goose (or maybe an escapee).

Woodpigeon close-up. They may not be the most well loved birds out there, but they do like to pose for the camera!

Great to do some fieldwork as part of my PhD, looking at parental age effects in field crickets. After working on Gryllus bimaculatus in the lab, it's been really interesting to compare them to G. campestris (which is found at the study site in Spain). @UofG_SBOHVM IAPETUS DTP
