Mark Drazner nailed it. I would rather spend 10 hrs of my day making sure my fresh transplant has a smooth landing, that my shock patient is perfusing, and that my HF patient is on life-prolonging GDMT than spend 8 hours seeing 40 patients for any other reason. Best job ever.
3. Innovation demands courage from physicians + bravery from patients. Mark Drazner emphasized the importance of finding meaning in work. As I shape my future career, being part of innovation for HF pts in dire need of better care sounds like a great way to ⬆️ meaning in my work
