We are pleased to work with RSPB England to monitor hen harriers, and welcome the encouraging increase in England.

However, illegal killing still casts a shadow over valuable partnership work to recover populations, and we continue to support the police in their investigations.

Extremely disturbing to see our water quality Ammonia test results:
An analysis of 139 river sites throughout England from 1986 - 2018 the concentration of Ammonia was found to have decreased (from 0.8mg/L) to less than 0.1mg/L
Our recent testing found a value almost 20 x higher

sewage bubbles up in the heart of a village, as a water system left to decay for over a decade finally caves in.

This is what supposedly harmless 'it's 95% rainwater you know', does to a chalk stream.

Lies, all of it, nothing but lies and environmental destruction.

Who else would suggest that a nearby raptor kill would shorten the nest-building period of Long-tailed Tits?
Everyone quotes 2,000 feathers in their nest, but in fact....

I couldn't see or hear any lesser spots around. Then I noticed some chippings blowing in the wind and out pops the head of the male. He seems to making excellent progress despite the weather. Both females came by a few times. He had a look but kept on excavating LesserSpot Network
