Changes to the emergency grab bag in QAH reception!

Category 2 Pressure Ulcer- Superficial skin loss with a pink wound bed (may also present as a clear fluid filled blister)

Suspected Deep Tissue Injury- Purple discolouration on intact skin which remains purple after pressing for 5-7 seconds (non blanching). Will be monitored for up to 2 weeks to see if skin damage evolves/breaks down. Diagnosis of Category will be dependent on depth of evolvement
