Currently we have 147k FT officers (including additional 20k officers in 2022) v previous peak of 144k in 2009. So whilst we now have an extra 20k officers total officer numbers are down 6.1% compared to 2009 (if we consider population increase 67. 7m from 62. 2m in 2009)

In Swindon, there are more than two children for every childcare place.

Offering parents more childcare hours is no good if they can’t access them - the Tories have set families up to fail.

Labour will build a modernised childcare system and break down barriers to opportunity.
